The Healthy Development Coordinator will serve as a liaison between public health and local/regional built environment efforts. Work outcomes will focus on opportunities to create policy, systems and environmental changes that foster healthy eating and active living. Initiatives may include coordinating with partners such as development districts, local planning and zoning offices, parks and recreation, schools, chambers of commerce and non-profits to address food access, Complete Streets, greenways and walking trails, playgrounds and splash pads, and other built environment projects/programs.
