The Office of Primary Prevention is seeking a Built Environment Coordinator/Grant Manager to help administer and oversee two built environment grant programs and provide general built environment expertise for the Department. The
ideal candidate has a passion for the built environment and health, an aptitude for organization, is motivated by creative problem-solving and values developing strong partnerships.
Work Title: Built Environment Coordinator/Grant Manager
Annual Compensation: $33,228-$53,172
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s + 3 years’ experience; or graduate degree + 1 year experience; or qualifying full-time experience may be substituted for education

The Division of Community Health Services, in partnership with the Office of Primary Prevention, is hiring a
Healthy Development Coordinator for the East Tennessee region. The Healthy Development Coordinator will serve as a liaison between public health and local/regional built environment efforts. Work outcomes will focus on opportunities to create policy,
systems and environmental changes that foster healthy eating and active living. Initiatives may include coordinating with partners such as development districts, local planning and zoning offices, parks and recreation, schools, chambers of commerce and non-profits
to address food access, Complete Streets, greenways and walking trails, playgrounds and splash pads, and other built environment projects/programs.
Work Title: Healthy Development Coordinator
Annual Compensation: $40,392-$64,608
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s + 2-3 years’ practicum or work experience; or graduate degree + practicum; or graduate degree + one year full-time experience.
Location: Knoxville, TN
