Subject: Paper Invitation from PubMed and Web of Science Indexed Journal:
[IJERPH-IF 2.101] Special Issue “Transportation-Related Air Pollution and
Human Health”
To:
Dear Colleague,
International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health / (
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijerph, Impact Factor: 2.101) is currently
running a Special Issue entitled “Transportation-Related Air Pollution and
Human Health”. I am from Tufts University School of Medicine, serving as
Guest Editor for this issue. Given your expertise and your published papers
I hope you will consider a submission. IJERPH is fully open access. Open
access (unlimited and free access by readers) increases publicity and
promotes more frequent citations, as indicated by several studies. Open
access is supported by the authors and their institutes. Article Processing
Charges of CHF 1600 (APC) apply to accepted papers.
It is now well established that living near major roadways and highways is
associated with increased risk of a range of adverse health outcomes
including cardiovascular disease, respiratory illnesses and neurological
problems. Accordingly, research is focused increasingly on which pollutants
in the environment near transportation are most responsible and how to
reduce exposure through regional and local policy and though individual
protective measures such as air filters.
For this issue, I invite submissions that in any way inform the issue of
transportation-related pollution and health, including, but not limited to,
environmental monitoring, epidemiology, policy, public health and
community-level interventions.
For further reading, please follow the link to the Special Issue Website
at:
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijerph/special_issues/
Transportation-Related_Air_Pollution_and_Human_Health.
The submission deadline is *1 September 2018*. You may send your manuscript
now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not be under
consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send
a short abstract or tentative title to the Editorial Office in advance (
gina.liu(a)mdpi.com).
For further details on the submission process, please see the instructions
for authors at the journal website (
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/
ijerph/instructions).
We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Doug Brugge
