Here are two key highlights: 1) We developed a nationally complete and consistent comprehensive database (http://urbandesign4health.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/RWJF_NED_500_Citie…) of built, natural, and social environment variables known to predict health and established a national walkability index (http://urbandesign4health.com/ud4h-establishes-the-national-walkability-ind…) for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Culture of Health. 2) We created and applied a National Public Health Assessment Model (NPHAM) for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (see: scenario-planning tools (http://urbandesign4health.com/projects/hia-plug-in-scenario-planning) ) that enables communities to predict chronic health outcomes and to monetize the health impact (http://urbandesign4health.com/projects/health-monetization-of-active-transp…) of transportation and land-use scenarios.
