I hope you are doing well. Relatively new member of the TRB Health
committee, but I thought you might be interested in our recent publication
in the Journal of Urban Health. The big picture is that climate-focused
transportation policies can also have substantial health impacts when
investments are made in active mobility. We examined the potential
mortality impacts from increased investment in walking and cycling
infrastructure under the Transportation Climate Initiative
cap-and-investment program for the Northeast for a number of different
scenarios.
