The reason we use this list serve is to promote efficient communication and
exchange of ideas. List services are based on the premise of people having
the option to reply or using the information they find. If you don't like
it delete it, but don't stop using the service for your input may be
crucial to some future issue. By removing yourself from the group you
diminish the over knowledge base and the effectiveness of this service.
Thanks

Neither you nor Bob owe anyone any apologies for anything you wrote -- not
in quantity and certainly not in quality. For those of us who are affected
greatly by the decisions about CTPP data, it is very helpful to understand
some of the background -- even the disputes -- about this very sensitive
issue. When I go back to my MPO Committees and Board to explain that we
will now have to spend several tens of thousands of dollars for an expanded
O-D study next year, I definitely want to be able to answer any questions
they may have -- especially because for the past three years, we have
anticipated receiving useful data from the CTPP.

I think a full and public airing of these issues is exactly the kind of
information which SHOULD be part of the discussions on this List; and to
those who left in a huff -- good riddance to narrow minds. My thanks to you
and to Bob for your candor, and I would appreciate it if you would continue
such discussions on the List where I can read them and try to better
understand the large and small issues involved.

I want to thank the group who spontaneously without hesitation, participated
the discussion to expressively sent their response on the census idea and
concept they thought would provide information helpful to others.
I'm not in any way oppose to this free expression of ideas and concept. I
don't want it, be stop or changes. Thanks a lot to those who unselfishly
join the fray. More power to all of you, who willingly tried to share those
concepts and ideas to all of us.
Keep me in, I believed those ideas are valuable information. Many Thanks
again.

Please keep me on the list. If it wasn't for CTPP, I wouldn't get any
e-mails. I'm glad that somebody actually thinks about this stuff and is
willing to discuss it. The only way it could get any better is if somebody
would include pictures. Thanks.

Folks, it'd be a shame to lose so many people from this list over the
"recent unpleasantness". It would seem those involved in the nasty little
exchange realize their error in posting that mess on the listserver. This
has been a very valuable resource and forum otherwise. Don't over-react.

I'm with John and Carlos on this. Personally, I've gotten a lot of good information from the emails. If the conversations go "private," we lose a purpose of the listserve, and lose a sense of community. I think the fact that there are disagreements and issues is important information in itself...maybe another strategy would be to take a deep breath, count to ten, and keep on talking. I'm still listening...
