NHTS and Census apparently only have household income.

I don't know if this is the geography or the attribute you are looking for, but ACS
(Year Estimates 2012 to 2016) has table
B19301_001 with block group and tract data for per capita income - (column FP) PER CAPITA
INCOME IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (IN 2016 INFLATION-ADJUSTED DOLLARS) for Total Population Per
capita income in the past 12 months (in 2016 inflation adjusted dollars)
You could cross reference with B08301_018 and 019 also at BG and Tract - bike and walk to
work table (Means of Transportation to Work)

Very rare. Usually, its from household surveys at the local level. Might
look at one person households

It's something I've wondered about for group quarters persons (people not part of
households). What about ACS PUMS, can you use those data? There is a variable, PINCP, that
is the sum of a person's earnings and other income sources. I think. It's worth
looking into:

Try looking for earnings. There is not a crosstab with mode by earnings
in CTPP. We lost that table in our disclosure/privacy discussions with
the Census Bureau years ago. You could IPF your way to the table with
tables A102202 (earnings by age) and B102203 (age by mode). Or you
could do it using PUMS at the IPUMS site https://www.ipums.org/. There
probably are other ways to get there but these were off the top of my
head. Good Luck.
