It’s something I’ve wondered about for group quarters persons (people not part of households). What about ACS PUMS, can you use those data? There is a variable, PINCP, that is the sum of a person’s earnings and other income sources. I think. It’s worth looking into:

We’re looking for PERSONAL income (not HOUSEHOLD income) of persons who bike to work.

NHTS and Census apparently only have household income.
