It currently shows the 2010 Census geographic boundaries and features. In addition to the geographic attributes it contains the 2010 Census population and housing unit counts for the selected geographic unit. In addition to the TIGERweb viewer there is a Web Map Service (WMS) available that allows users to connect to the TIGERweb service through their own tools such as ArcGIS. KML File Prototypes - 2010 Census counties and census tract KML files are now available. These are prototype KML files released to gather input from our customers about future KML files. We are soliciting feedback on the type of layers and attributes that should be released in future KML products. We hope to add KML files to our suite of mapping related files in 2012. Feedback sent to geo.tiger(a)census.gov by February 28, 2012 will be used to create the requirements for future KML products. These files had been previously only been available on CD-Rom. These are the original 1992 TIGER/Line files from the CDs that have been zipped into county packages and posted to the ftp site. We cannot provide technical support for using or converting these files into other formats as most of the staff who worked on these files are no longer working with us.
