We just got more clarification from Census Bureau
geography staff on the
Urban Area release dates.
1. The Census Bureau will announce the list of Urban Areas and their
populations based on the 2010 Census in early 2012.
2. TIGER/Line shapefiles with boundaries for these areas will be available
in Spring 2012.
3. 2010 Census data will be released later in the year in the Summary File
1 Urban/Rural Update.
