The current proposal is for:
a few, small, adjustments to the delineation rules,
delineation updates once every five years, and
annual review only for new qualifying CBSAs.

Subject: [CTPP] using the ACS to define metro areas
Does anyone know whether metro areas, or whatever they are called, will
be adjusted annually based on results of the ACS county level data? Or
what data will be used in the definitions? Historically it's been based
on the decennial census numbers about county commuter patterns and
population growth.
