Our midyear meeting will be on sunday June 27 from 3-5 pm west coast

willing to work on a conference call setup for us. will anyone who is
not attending be interested in participating via an '800' teleconference

as you can see we are onboard as part of an obesity workshop to hit it
from the data perspective (not because i am a poster child for
obesity). if anyone has any particular interest in this or has done any
work in this area let me know. i will pass along more information as i
get it.

FOr the most part I think we have been working under these guidelines so
they shouldn't be tough for us to conform.

Notes from our midyear meeting are attached.
Note that we are having a committee number change as part of the TRB
committee reorganization. We will become ABJ30. We are part of the
cluster of Division "A" Technical Committees under the Policy and
Organization Group "B" of the Data & Information Systems Section "J" as
the Urban Transportation Data & Information Systems Committee "30". For
a listing of the new standing committee structure see
http://trb.org/directory/diva.asp
Besides having a committee web page (http://www.mtc.ca.gov/trb/urban/)
the list serve is running different software and now has a usable
archive. I am just learning the software but the link for the archive
and info on the list is
(http://www.chrispy.net/mailman/listinfo/a1d08-news). i am not sure if
there is a shorter link.
We in the data community have someone to make us proud. My sources tell
me that Chuck Purvis is going to become the TRB Chair of the Travel
Analysis Methods Section, that's ADB00 if you are keeping score. Good
Luck Chuck.

Urban Data Committee Members-
Attached is a first draft of our Triennial Self Evaluation (tse) form.
What is a TSE you ask? Every three years each committee goes through a
self evaluation. As part of the evaluation the committee is to look at
its mission, place in life and its direction for the future. Our TSE is
due February 16, 2004. At our January meeting we will incorporate the
discussion of the TSE into our "Committee Activities and Direction"
agenda item.
