items of relevance (i was on IUrban data for many many committee refresh cycles, but have
had no involvement requested for many years)
1) Im actually flying home to australia from a SHRP2 Expert Review meeting on reliability
on 21 june, and so am in an excellent position to comment on links to SHRP2
2 as the initial chair of the metadata subcommittee, I think the links now to the
underpinnings of urban dat have weakened a lot- just as data observatories etc are growing
(at lats!)
3 im working on governance issues in urban data (wider than just transport) this area is
growing in importance around the world (im in europe working on a second stage project
proposal for a network t link the different countries with interests right now, but there
i no TRB connection at this point)
I could of course expand on any of these if they were of any interest to the current
committee directions
have a good meeting.. as im in th e air for about a day inclduing all 22 june, so I cannot
join on gotomeeting this time
