Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) premiere highway research center is
searching for a dynamic, experienced Transportation Data Analytics
Researcher to join the Technical Direction and Coordination Team to define
and execute an interdisciplinary program that spans both the FHWA Safety and
FHWA Operations programs, with specific attention to the continuing
developments in the Connected and Automated Vehicle industry. The position

The Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center is a federally owned and

As our TFHRC Transportation Data Analytics Researcher, you will:
* Work with the Team Leader in developing and implementing research
studies, formulating travel and scientific equipment budgets, and acquiring
the equipment and supplies needed for successful completion of the research
program.
* Work closely with other FHWA offices, (i.e., FHWA Office of Safety,
Resource Center, Division Offices, etc.), and provide expert advice and
technical assistance to State, local, or Federal practitioners or the
private sector regarding large volume data informatics and analytics.
* Experience first-hand the cutting edge of roadway safety,
transportation systems management & operations, and connected and automated
vehicle research and technology.
If you have strong experience in working with very large and varied data
sets to produce new analyses that can make a difference, and are familiar
with roadway safety, transportation systems management & operations,
infrastructure, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and/or connected
and automated vehicle (CAV) technologies, and then we need YOU to be a part
