The University of Baltimore is hosting a two-day conference, June
6-7, 2000, on "Developing Public Policy Applications with the
American Community Survey and Community Administrative Records"
The conference is co-sponsored by the Census Bureau and the US
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The focus is on
research interests related to HHS, including "welfare-to-work
transitions, economic development, education policy, rural
development, housing policy, neighborhood safety, energy and the
environment, homelessness, and GIS."
Conference web site is at:
http://www.ubalt.edu/jfc/Conf/Flyer.htm
This is not a transportation-related conference, but may be useful to
USDOT, MPO, COG and State DOT staff interested in ACS research. Very
interesting.....
Chuck.
