Yes, this is flow data. It is only county level workerflows--i.e. total numbers not
demographics or other characteristics of the workers. In 1990 it was known as STF 5A and
was the first
tabulation released. The 1990 data can be found on the Census Bureau's
Journey-to-Work division website
(
http://www.census.gov/population/www/socdemo/journey.html). This is good site to
bookmark. This site is also linked through our
http://www.TRBcensus.com/
When the county to county flow data gets released it will be available on the
Journey-to-Work website and we will certainly let you know through this listserve. There
is an outside chance that
the data may be out next week but I am hearing that the following week is more probable.
Apparently, the data processing is done and the file is wending its way through the Census
Bureau's
approval process.
