Ken Cervenka FTA Office of Planning ====================================================================================================================== The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is seeking proposals for the "Multimodal Public Transportation System Connectivity Performance Measures" research project (Solicitation Number DTFT6016R00002), part of the Ladders of Opportunity initiative. The goal of this research project is to develop a suite of performance measures that are useful for communities of varying size and sophistication to evaluate the level of connectivity of their multimodal public transportation systems including walking and biking connections to public transit and identify gaps. The approach should be particularly considerate of the travel needs of those with lower incomes, minorities, older adults, and individuals with disabilities and the ease of physically accessing essential service locations, including: jobs, educational facilities, groceries, healthcare, and social services.
