One item that we can't see right now from the Census profiles is differences by gender in the JTW. Historically women have had shorter distance and time commutes than men. Women were more likely to take jobs closer to home and took care of children and other household responsiblities. I am wondering if some of the increase in overall travel times might be an indication that women are making employment location choices more similarly to men. We'll have to wait for CTPP to do this analysis!
