I like it too!
One consideration.
Care would have to be taken when working with the two names as values in
metadata, given that sometimes metadata is ported in and out of
mainframe applications, and/or systems that may or may not recognize case
differences.
While the circumstances that could cause a problem are rarer and rarer these
days, I wonder if an added "bit" of caution
is in order. Using "MiSA" would solve the problem and would be pronounced
differently than MSA - dropping a syllable in fact.
Thinking of future graduate students, since "Mice-a" are a "small-a"
than a
"MeSA" it would also be easier to remember which
is the smaller unit.
