U.S. Census Bureau Announces ACS Online Response Option
The Census Bureau is pleased to announce that the American Community Survey (ACS) will
begin offering an online response option for most respondents within the next few weeks.
In 2013, most housing units sampled for the ACS will be mailed a package introducing the
survey and explaining the survey response process. These respondents then access a secure
website that will present the 2013 ACS questions, including new questions about computer
and Internet use. If respondents do not access the online response option, alternative
paper, telephone, and personal interviewing options are available. The first data
products featuring data collected via the online response option will be available in late
