The Census Bureau released a new report this past Thursday, 3/18/21, entitled “Travel Time to Work in the United States: 2019”. Bureau folks aren’t ones to tout (or toot their own horns) about new reports, so we should take some time to look it over. It’s short, concise, spiffy, sleek, informative, and free. I would recommend perusing the report “Commuting in America III” (NCHRP Report 550 / TCRP Report 110), published in 2006, for similar details on travel time to work, 1980 to 2000. (The first two CIA reports were published in 1987 and 1996 and published by the Eno Foundation.
