There are some supplemental tables for this report - go to http://www.census.gov/newsroom/releases/archives/news_conferences/20110920_… and scroll to the bottom of the page. In addition, during the release webinar, the Bureau provided selected data from the 2010 ACS - the link to the webinar presentation is at the top of the page above. The Commuting discussion starts on page 27 of the Webinar pdf. Once I get over my AFF2 phobias it will be fun to see if 2009 ACS(1) is an annomoly year or not. I know when looking at the population totals in a few areas (thinking Detroit) 2009 had some wild results. How this may have carried through the data is just one of those curiosity questions. When looking at the travel time graph in the sildes Nancy mentioned 2009 did look alittle like an outlier.

Hi, Hary C08101 combined Walked with Taxicab, motorcycle, bicycle, or other means. But you can use Table B08101 for ACS 2010, which has a separate category for Walked. I believe Table B08101 is consistent with that in ACS 2006-2008. I look again... B08103 6 B08103006 Taxicab, motorcycle, bicycle, or other means Still the wrong one... Then my colleague show me the correct one.. When I browsed ACS2010_1-Year_TableShells.xls I missed blocks data further down (2000 line down) from that point above to see the broken part, I have found it.. Now I lost it again... Somewhere in cell row 8600.... Thankyou !
