CTPP? I will guess NO unless your MPO purchased it with tracts as your
TAZs and can find the data. I don't have the list of 1970 purchasers
handy but there were 112. As far as regular census data your state data
center would be the place to start or more likely the regional agency
that deals in population estimates for the area.
Archiving the past CTPP (and UTPP) data has been a concern of many of us
for quite some time. There is a small collection of 1980 UTPPs around
(maybe parts from 3 to 4 agencies) but that is about it. At several
different times small volunteer efforts have put forth to pull together
the older CTPPs but they never resulted in much.
In conversations I have had with Census staff the older UTPPs were
treated as special tabs and as such did not go through the same archive
procedures as did the census products. While the total UTPPs might not
exist, parts of them may exist on microficsh deep inside the Census
Building but getting to and working with them would take time, money and
resources. What would be nice is if we could interst some philanthropic
doner to fund a data expedition.
