Thank you. Now I recall sitting in on a webinar with Nanda discussing
the issue of "under-reporting" for Zero Vehicle households as noted on
this document. That is what I was noting in some of the data I was
reviewing which led me to my question.
Thank you Elaine and Chuck for your help.

Subject: RE: [CTPP] ESRI article on ACS errors
After the Census Bureau released the 2005 ACS data in 2006, I started
working on the "highlights" document attached to accompany the profile
sheets that Nanda Srinivasan prepared (for a limited number of
geographic units). However, this document never went through the
official FHWA review process and I did not add it to any website! So,
please do not consider it OFFICIAL, it is just a DRAFT!
The profiles sheets which include MOE in percent values and number
values are on the AASHTO webpage:
http://ctpp.transportation.org/home/default.htm
The vehicle availability tables are in the "residence" profiles (Workers
in Households).
We did not re-do the profile sheets after the release of the 2006 ACS
data.
However, we plan to re-do the profile sheets when the 3-year ACS
standard tabulations (2005 thru 2007) are available (close to the end of
calendar year 2008).

Chuck (or others),
In your opinion, how well do you think ACS is estimating Zero Vehicle
Households? (or conversely household vehicle ownership?)

The current issue of ESRI's ArcUser magazine has yet another article in
a very good series by the ESRI chief demographer, Lynn Wombold. It's
available online at:
