[CTPP] Re: Update on the Status of the NPTS and the ATS

The National Household Travel Survey (the NPTS/ATS) is starting up in early March, and will continue in the field for one calendar year. The national sample is 25,000 households, add-on areas may add another 20,000 samples. The questionnaire combining the two surveys has been smoothed, and a few interesting data items have been added. We are obtaining information on work at home, internet availability and use, immigrant status, travel disability, and greater trip purpose detail. The questionnaire will be available on the website within the next week or two.
