Felix:
According to the CTPP Powerpoint presentation on the TRB census data
subcommittee site (
http://www.mcs.com/~berwyned/census/) the CTPP
2000 will be released on a flow basis starting Fall 2002.
This is a definitely faster schedule than the 1990 CTPP -- the first
statewide packages were released in Spring '93. (And some of the last
urban element CDs were produced by BTS in 1997....)
One of the earlier products that the Census Bureau produced was the
county-to-county total commuters file (STF S-5) released December
1992. The CTPP 2000 powerpoint presentation made some reference to
this product, but it would be useful if the Bureau could give us some
idea of the likelihood of such a product by, say, summer '02????
In terms of "regular" census products, we should be anticipating the
"hundred percent sample file" (HSF) in the spring of '01; and the
"sample survey file" (SSF) in the spring of '02. Or for us
old-timers, STF1 in Spring '01 and STF3 in Spring '02.
A question of mine is: will the CTPP tabulations be based on
unadjusted or adjusted counts?
Another question: will there be a separate statewide and urban
element?

What is the schedule for releasing the final CTPP
2000?
Thanks
Felix
