I am on one of the community groups under the ACS Data Users
organization,
http://www.acsdatausers.org, and a post just came through
about the ACS content review. It may be of interest to some so I am
re-posting.
"Possible changes to ACS Questionnaire
The Census Bureau is considering changes to the ACS questionnaire,
potentially dropping questions on field of degree and marital history.
See:
http://1.usa.gov/1v7N3p6
for more info. A Federal Register notice will be issued soon, where data
users can provide comments."
I checked out the link and the slides posted and although I did not
follow the quadrant analysis that got to the answer, I did understand
slide 16 which listed the questions that are to be candidates for
removal. Fortunately I did not see any of the direct transportation
questions on the list. We just have to wait for the Federal Register
notice which is due out any time now.
Also, if you are not part of the ACS Users Group you might consider
joining. Its free and a good way to stay plugged in.
