i too have been getting an earful. if anyone knows of a good link to a site that
succinctly addresses the confidentiality of the long form data please pass it
along. i seem to be able to find lots of information on how and why there are
the long form questions but nothing on the fact that the information is highly
confidential. personally, i know about all the title 13 confidentiality
protections but i could use a link to to a site that puts it in simple
lay-terms.

Did anyone ever figure out from the '90 Census the
difference in
non-response rates between short-form and long-form households? I'm getting
an earful from friends and relatives right now who got the long form. I'm
starting to understand better the rationale for getting away from the long
form toward the ACS (if in fact this was part of the rationale).
