Do you mean cities (as in municipalities), urban areas or metropolitan
areas? Hope you are aware that in 2000, Census included taxicabs in the
public transit data, but has since reported that separately. Metropolitan
definitions have changed, so if you are using metropolitan areas I suspect
the referenced table will not do. Some really major changes, such as the
reduction of the NY CMSA (the standard metropolitan definition for Census in
2000) from something like 21M to 18 or 19M and the reduction of LA from 16M
to 12 or so.
