[CTPP] junk on list

I want to apologize to everyone who perceived that there was too much stuff floating across the list today. I was really at a loss to know whether to respond Bob LaMacchia privately or on the list, since his messages had come through to the list. After a point, it was clear to me that this discussion did not need to be on the list, and so I messaged Bob privately and told him that. The discussion is over. I will still be most happy to answer questions that people have. Perhaps, however, it's better to do it off list than on list. Also, I will be out of the office and email contact from this Thursday, Jan. 30, through February 11.
