As we near the 2016 TRB Annual Meeting, I will be forwarding information
regarding workshops, sessions and opportunities. I will do my best to
achieve a balance between keeping you informed yet not spamming you.

Hello,
The Census for Transportation Planning Subcommittee, ABJ30(1) will be
meeting on Monday, January 11 at 12:15 PM-1:15 PM in Liberty O in the
Marriott Marquis. We will have program updates and a number of exciting
speakers. The agenda can be found at

Shortly after, the poster session titled "Uses of Multiple Data Sets for
Transportation Planning" will take place on Monday, January 11, from

Big Data Analytics and Applications: Role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

This workshop focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques for turning high volumes of fast-moving and diverse transportation data into useful information. Advanced data survey and analytics techniques and their applications to emerging big data sets (e.g., trajectory, social media, mobile sensing, and connected and automated vehicles) and the potential of big data in supporting needs such as performance measurement, forecasting, and real-time control are explored.
