UMass will be hosting a NSF REU Program focused on transportation equity through community-engaged research (see attached). The program will be 9-weeks long this summer, running from June 12th to August 11th, 2023. It includes a weekly stipend and housing. We are trying to recruit a diverse group of 10 undergraduate students (and incoming freshmen) to work on a variety of projects across disciplines including engineering, planning, nursing, and psychology. Applications are open and the priority due date is February 15. Review of applications will continue until positions are filled. You can check the website that contains project descriptions and a link to the application.
