Now Accepting Applications for HIAs at Local Health Departments

 

Through support from the CDC’s Healthy Community Design Initiative, NACCHO is currently accepting applications for health impact assessments (HIA) led by local health departments (LHDs). Selected LHDs will receive funding and support to complete an HIA on a transportation, land use, community design, parks and recreation, or energy policy, plan, program, or project.

 

Applications are due Friday, August 22, 2014 by 5:00 PM EDT.

Details: approximately 3 awards of up to $15,000 each will be awarded to LHDs to engage in activities that will lead to the completion of an HIA during the project period, September 2014 - June 2015. Selected LHDs may have access to an HIA mentor for additional support and technical assistance.

Informational call about the RFA will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:00 EDT
