Hello all! I hope that all TRB attendees had a good time and learned a lot! As our subcommittee is growing and taking on more initiatives, we thought it was a good time to reach out to all of you to get involved. We have a number of interesting activities for a wide range of skills sets including outreach to other TRB committees and partner organizations, brainstorming research topics, and website maintenance. Check out our website to see some examples of what's going on:

We also have a special request and need for photos depicting Health and Transportation.  Currently the Subcommittee is working on a health-themed issue of TRNews to be published in September 2015.  As you might expect, finding “good” photos that show health and transportation and would attract interest are hard to come by.  If you have any photos that you would like to have considered please send them along.  According to TRB submission rules “Submit original artwork if possible.  Glossy, high-quality black and white photographs, color photographs and slides are acceptable.  Digital continuous-tone images must be submitted as TIFF or JPEG files and must be at least 3 inch by 5 inch with a resolution of 300dpi.  A caption should be supplied for each graphic element.”  And of course if your photo(s) is used you will get photographic credit.

Please email Ed Christopher (ed.christopher@dot.gov) or Eloisa Raynault (eraynault@planningcommunities.com) if you are interested in volunteering or have some photos to share.

Thanks!
