Planners,

I got this from a community partner who’s heading up our region’s Community Transformation Grant.  It is for someone with planning experience and awareness/experience with related public health issues, especially around “active living.”  The position is at the Dept of Health and Human Services, in the Raleigh/Wake County area.

The North Carolina Community Transformation Grant (CTG) Project Active Living Coordinator position is now posted. The position will provide technical assistance to 10 CTG Project regional grantees on integrating health considerations into comprehensive plans; developing and implementing strategies to increase access to places for physical activity including Joint Use Agreements and building key partnerships to support these active living strategies. Experience in built environment and physical activity initiatives; joint use agreements, comprehensive planning, city and regional planning, and transportation and land use; or parks and recreation is preferred.--
