The American Lung Association in California is looking for an Air Quality Consultant to conduct advocacy and outreach activities to promote the adoption of a strong SANDAG San Diego Forward regional plan pursuant to Senate Bill 375 (SB 375, 2008), California’s Sustainable Communities and Climate Protection Act. A key focus will be on promoting active transportation alternatives and healthy growth strategies in the plan. The Consultant will also advocate for a strong Climate Action Plan for the City of San Diego as it goes through the environmental review and approval process. The consultant must be based in the San Diego region and will work closely with the local Regional Director of Programs and Advocacy.

The time commitment and duration is a six month initial contract, with extension contingent on grant funding. Up to 20 hours per week, depending on project needs.

Thanks very much for your help.

Jenny
