The Institute is building up its transport planning capability and is seeking researchers who have a strong background in a number of areas. In particular we are looking for individuals with the following subsets of skills

 1.      Strong mathematical and statistical skills with a focus on development and estimation of travel choice models.

2.      Strong programming background with a focus on object-oriented programming.

3.      Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and implementing transport networks within a transport modelling framework including experience in user-friendly documentation.

In all areas of expertise it is essential to have good written and communication skills, proficiency in word processing and the ability to be trained in the use of other computer applications, the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, good organisational skills, the ability to work in a team, and the ability to work independently, be flexible and exercise initiative. It is also essential that you have a demonstrated record in writing reports for projects as well as papers for conferences and journals.
