Hi Michael,

The address for OnTheMap is below:

http://onthemap.ces.census.gov/

Once you've selected a geography and performed an analysis (selecting "work" as the location to find employer locations), there will be a button called "Export Geography" under "Report/Map Outputs" on the Results tab on the left-hand side of the screen. From there, you can select a shapefile and download the data.

This will give you employment statistics at your selected geography, not locations of each individual employer.

Hope that helps.

Chrissy

Hello everyone,

I have been able to previously map employer locations (GIS point shapefiles) using the "OnTheMap" application via the Center for Economic Studies website, but it's been awhile and I can't remember where to go for it.  I've been searching for awhile now and apparently it's more hidden than I remember. Lol.  Does anyone know where to go (exact web address), so I can retrieve this information and project in ArcMap?

Thanks! Anything helps!
