With the release of the new 2006-2010 dataset, AASHTO, FHWA, and Census are working toward compiling relevant supporting documentation to accompany the data that is available on the Beyond 2020 website. Here is a brief document that describes some issues associated with worker counts at small geographies (TAZs and Tracts). AASHTO will post this document, along with a list of county FIPS codes for counties that are not included in place of work coding areas and therefore prone to low worker counts for Parts 2 (workplace) and Part 3 (flows) in the CTPP.
