Hi everyone –
Thought you’d like to see the program for the Association of Public Data Users conference. Please consider attending the conference!
Of particular note, the session on integrating administrative records with the ACS. Deb Stempowski, Chief, American Community Survey is scheduled to speak.
As you know, the Census Bureau needs to do all it can to reduce costs for the ACS and the next decennial census.
This topic is very important! Some items like age and at least some questions about income (e.g. Social Security) seem very reliable from administrative records,
does this mean that there will be MORE IMPUTATION of the journey-to-work and vehicle ownership questions if the field follow-up rate is reduced and replaced with use of administrative records? Assuming there is more imputation, how much will this increase
in imputation “cost” in terms of reliability and usability for small area transportation zones?
