You might go back to that person and ask them why they need the data - what is the question they are trying to answer? If they are looking for the economic impact of teenagers working after-school jobs then they probably won't have much luck. If they are looking for something like a surrogate number for high school drop outs you might have luck with the state Department of Education and get it directly.

Also, if I recall correctly, rules for workers under 18 are strict and there may be a state agency that tracts them (I don't know who). But this would not account for the vast number of off-books jobs like babysitting and lawn care.

Subject: [CTPP] Employment Status for the Popualtion Ages 14-18

I’ve been asked whether the ACS, or another readily available data source, provides labor force status for persons 14-18. My understanding is that ACS does not include this data, that labor force information is only collected for the population 16 and older. Am I correct? All suggestions and comments would be helpful.
