I just wanted to clarify the thread about whether or not Census will release county-to-county commuting flows each year. There are no plans to release county-level flows each year at this time. The 2006-2010 flows were released to support the metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas definitions. In a similar way, flows will likely be released alongside other products in the future, but these releases will not be on a predictable schedule, and may not occur every year.

The 2013 ACS will be the first data year to include the new metro/micro areas. In the coming year, we hope to produce county flows tables that highlight these new definitions using the 5-year 2013 ACS data (but there will certainly be a lag between when the data is released and when a flows product is released).
