All--

TIGER/Line shapefiles for urban areas currently are available only via our ftp site at ftp://ftp2.census.gov/geo/tiger/TIGER2010/  (scroll down to the directory labeled "UA").

The 2010 Census tabulation block shapefiles also have been updated to include urban/rural flags and urban area codes.  These also are available on our ftp site at http://www2.census.gov/geo/tiger/TIGER2010/TABBLOCK
Both sets of shapefiles eventually will be available via our web interface for downloading.

Please note that there is a caching system on the ftp site.  We are working to clear the cache, but there may be a delay in what you are able to see on the ftp site, and the issue may vary from person to person (it is possible that one sees the new ones and others don't) because there are multiple instances on the ftp site.  If at first you don't see the updated files, please refresh.  We appreciate your patience as we work through this issue.

We were revising the name on one of the excel files-- you might have tried to access right about the time we were updating.  Glad you were able to get to the file.

Mike
