Go@ Da%&*#.
I had the same problem myself and it turned out my email addy was not right. it said "con" instead of "com". i suppose i can check all the email addresses very carefully. i still have a few more reviews to get out
so it may be a day or two. this could be a real issue for reviews i am sending to folks outside the committee.
thanks for the heads up

Hi Ed:
cc: A1D08 committee members.
I didn't receive any e-mails from either you or TRB regarding the papers you've asked me to review. I just "logged in" to the miracd web site, and, lo and behold, I can see the papers you've asked for reviews.
Others may have the same problem, and I do recall that this was a problem (feature?) from last year, as well....

I just finished the initial pass through of the papers as you can see
from the emails arriving from the TRB software. what you can't see is
that 13 of our 18 deal with congestion and/or travel time either
measuring, predicting or analyzing it. since the papers don't fall
nicely into our individual areas of expertise some folks got a
disproportional amount--shawn turner and rich margiotta for example.
If the load is too much let me know or better yet, think about finding
other reviewers. We can certainly go outside the committee for reviews.
They have to be added to the software but that is something that I do on
my end.
I will keep you all posted on our progress as we work though this.

Well it in paper review time and I just wanted to let you all know that
i just received our package.
so far after the first cut it looks like we have 17 papers assigned to
our committee. i suspect that there will be more as things shake out. i
haven't yet reviewed the "paper review process manual" but instead
jumped right to papers. consequently, i can't talk about process
yet--nor i have really tested the paper reviewing software. i am sure i
will figure it out--so be ready to get some papers.
at our midyear meeting david pearson and paul shuldiner agreed to work
with me as a paper review sub-committee. i am sure i will be calling you
guys to discuss things as we get into this and i get a handle on the
software etc. for now i am doing some initial triage.
bye for now.

I just wanted to give you all a brief update before we hit the paper
review stage.
For January the committee has several things going.
1. We are developing a presentation session entitled "Integrating
Congestion Monitoring and the Planning Process". For the session we
will have several practitioners present their congestion monitoring work
with an eye on discussing their congestion measures, the acceptance of
the measures, the use of the measures in the project selection and/or
planning process. Actually, there is a list of questions for the
presenters to consider that I will send out a little latter. After the
practitioners present their stuff a noted congestion expert will do a
"wrap-up/integration" presentation based on all the practitioners'
presentations. So far we have presenters from Seattle (Mark Hallenbeck),
Phoenix (Mark Schlappi) and maybe one from Chicago. We still have room
for one or two more that haven't been secured. For the Congestion Tim
Lomax has given me a tentative yes.
2. For Sunday, Shawn Turner is working on the development of a Workshop
under the Archive Data User Service (ADUS) umbrella. The concept of the
workshop will be to get those working in and around the ADUS archives to
share experiences etc. Contact Shawn for more details. (979-845-8829;
shawn-turner(a)tamu.edu)
3. The Census Subcommittee will host a poster session for people to
display the "cool stuff" that they are doing with Census data. We had a
call for posters on the street that I hope all of you have seen. If you
are interested in putting something together or know someone get hold of
Bob Sicko our Subcommittee Chair ( 425-415-0905,
bob(a)miraiassociates.com).
4. We are participating in a joint paper call with the Survey Methods
committee dealing with GPS-enhanced travel / activity survey results.
That's about all I can remember right now. If anyone has anything else
to add just reply to the A1D08 listserve mailing address
(a1d08-news(a)chrispy.net). For now the list is set up to only go to the
committee members. (Chuck I need to get with you to update the committee
members on our webpage.)
